    Krispy Kreme Donuts are Coming to HVHS!

    Yearbook is selling Krispy Kreme Doughnuts on Tuesday.  You can buy a single doughnut or you can buy a box of 12.  They will be available all day on Tuesday except during lunch.  You can pay with cash or card.  Order early while supplies last.  This is a one day sale only.

    Attention all DECA members who are competing in the state competition next week.  There is a mandatory meeting tomorrow morning in Mr. Hunt’s room Food will be served from 7:45 – 8:00. The meeting will be from 8:00-8:15 a.m.  No food will be served after 8:00 a.m.  Everyone who attends the meeting can save $5 on their SLC shirts.

    Seniors who signed up for Read Across America Day, please see Mrs. Honaker asap for permission form and details.

    Baseball practice will be after school today in the gym.

    Hidden Valley Young Republicans Club will have a meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7:45 a.m. in Mr. Hunt’s room.

    SENIORS- It is time to submit your senior quotes for the yearbook. Please log on to Titan Space and find the form under surveys. Submissions will close March 8th. We are also taking senior selfies, individual or group. See Emma Maslich or Mrs. Honaker for submission information.

    Attention HVHS students!  Anyone interested in playing a spring sport needs to have a current physical on file prior to practices officially beginning on Monday, February 18, 2019. You will not be permitted to participate without a physical on file.  If you are at all interested in playing a sport and have questions about practice times, the coaches, how much it may cost, etc,  please see the Athletic Director, Mr. Deeds , in his office, which is located across from Room 306.

    Attention all Mu Alpha Theta members and students. We will hold meetings on February 21 and 28 in Room 119 immediately following the school day to begin planning for our Pi week celebration.  All are welcome to attend. There will be pizza!

    American Heart Association-Students, see Ms. Ponn if you would like to make a donation to AHA.  Staff, remember to donate as well to be eligible to wear jeans every Wednesday in February.

    Ever been interested in being a Hidden Valley High School Cheerleader? Come get information about tryouts and an inside look at our first open gym on March 5, 2019  4:15 – 5:45 in the auxiliary gym. You must have a current sports physical on file to participate.

    Attention SENIORS: Prom is quickly approaching and we need to nominate candidates for the 2019 Prom Court.  Please log into Blackboard, go to Titan Space, and nominate a senior for Prom Court.  Only seniors will be able to nominate and vote for the 2019 Prom Court.  Please complete the form by February 15, 2019. Thanks for your participation.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Penn or Mrs. Irvin.

    If you intend to bring a prom date that is not a Hidden Valley High student, you must return a permission form to receive approval.  Forms are available in the front office.

    Kindness is Cool!  Hidden Valley is looking for students interested in beginning a Cool 2 Be Kind chapter, a national school based and student led organization.  Any student interested in participating in the movement against bullying and leading by example, please see Mr. Cundiff in the Counseling Department.

    There will be a Young Democrats meeting Thursday 2/21 in Room 224 immediately after school.

    BETA Club Seniors:  Please stop by the front office or Mrs. Penn/Irvin’s room to pick up information regarding volunteer hours and the BETA sash for graduation. Juniors, if you have decided to graduate early, please get the information, as well. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Penn or Mrs. Irvin.

    Seniors-Check Blackboard HVH Counseling for scholarship  information.  Make sure you check out the spreadsheet with all of the scholarships and due dates.

    Seniors-The Roanoke County Ed Foundation Scholarship applications are here. See Ms. Raber in counseling to pick up your application.  Completed applications are due back to HVH Counseling by February 28, 2019 at 3:30 p.m.

    Titan Force is now selling T-shirts, stickers, and pompoms. They will be sold during lunch today or you can buy them from Mrs. Atkins in room 201.  T-shirts are $7.00, stickers are $1.00, and pompoms are $3.00 each or 2 for $4.00.
