Will my child still get library books for 2020-2021 school year?
Yes! You may put books on hold in the library catalog that I will then deliver to your child's class or I will meet you for curbside pick up for virtual students.
You can also complete a book request form (if you don't have a specific title in mind, you can make a general request)

How long can my student keep their library books?
Students can keep their library books until their next library day. When they return books, they will be allowed to check out new books.
If you are finished with a book before library day, you can return them at any time.
If you need to keep your books longer, no worries! Just return them when you are finished and then you can check out something new.

Does the library have ebooks?
Yes! You can access some ebooks in the library catalog or you can go to SORA to access other ebooks from Burlington, all Roanoke County School, as well as the local public libraries.
-
How is the library reducing the spread of germs during COVID?
Students will not be visiting the library, I will come to them with lessons and activities on the same ENCORE schedule students are used to using.
Every book will sit for 48 hours upon being returned before being reshelved and checked out to another student. Students will not share books in the classroom without waiting at least 48 hours after the previous student.
