Roanoke County Public Schools proudly offers the Roanoke County Corps of Cadets program. This program is an exciting and dynamic opportunity designed to shape the next generation of leaders. Built on the foundation of a traditional NJROTC curriculum, this locally supported program challenges cadets to develop confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of citizenship while gaining real-world leadership experience.

Currently hosted at William Byrd High School and open to all students in grades 9–12 across Roanoke County; the program is growing rapidly! With engaging teams such as Color Guard and Drill, and new opportunities like Air Rifle and Drone teams on the horizon, cadets are encouraged to explore their interests, build lasting skills, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
