FEMA COVID-19 Disaster Declarations
In March 2020, the President declared a nationwide emergency allowing hazard mitigation expenditures incurred to qualify for FEMA funds. In August 2021, FEMA provided $3.5 billion in Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funds that have been authorized for the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) major disaster declarations.
