The following schedule of fees complies with The Code of Virginia and School Board Policy 4.12. The 2025-2026 schedule of fees was submitted and approved by the Roanoke County School Board on June 11, 2026.
Fees are reduced or waived for economically disadvantaged students and students whose families are undergoing economic hardships. Families should contact their principal

The School Board sends two $500 bills for nonresident tuition in July.
You may pay both bills at the same time before the deadline.

Online Payments
Roanoke County Public Schools offers several convenient online payment options for families. Schools also accept cash and checks, which do not incur processing fees.
Please Note: Online and credit card payments are processed by third-party vendors. Any processing fees are established and collected by the vendor, not Roanoke County Public Schools.

Athletic Event Tickets
Purchase tickets online for athletic events at participating schools. Below are links to some resources to get you started.

$1.00 per ticket +5% for tickets over $10
Season tickets: $2.00 + 5%
Student Meal Payments
Manage your student's meal account online through SchoolCafé. With a free SchoolCafé account, parents and guardians can:
- Add funds using a credit or debit card
- Monitor meal account balances and spending
- Set low balance alerts
- Establish purchase restrictions
Vendor Processing Fees
$2.25 per online transaction
Minimum online payment: $10.00
Maximum online payment: $100.00
Other Payment Options
All schools accept cash and checks. Middle and high schools also have on-site credit card terminals available for certain transactions.
Cash and check payments do not incur vendor processing fees.
