Mission Statement
Roanoke County Public Schools believes that music education is essential to the education and development of the total student. Music students develop critical thinking skills, communication skills, collaboration, creativity, discipline, and a positive self-image, and as a result, they are better prepared for the future. The skills gained through music education give students a better understanding of the importance of music and the impact it has upon our culture.  This understanding will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
