Preschool
We promote a developmentally appropriate learning environment to foster individual skills and understanding that will enable children to make sense of the world and to succeed. We create an environment that invites children to observe, be active, and to make choices and experiment.
The Roanoke County Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI) Program is a grant-funded program that provides high-quality preschool education for three- and four-year-old children residing in Roanoke County who have been identified as at risk and are not served by Head Start programs. Through a strong focus on effective interactions and intentional instruction, VPI programs help ensure that all Virginia children enter school fully prepared for success.
If you are concerned regarding your child’s development and wish to have a child study, please contact us to make a referral.
If your child will be age three (3) or four (4) by Sept. 30, 2026, your child may be eligible to attend an RCPS preschool program.
