Nutrition Services

Student-Centered Nutrition, Every Day

Our goal is to provide delicious and nutritious daily meal choices to students and staff while operating a financially sound school nutrition program that complies with federal and state school meal regulations.

2024-2025 Community Eligibility Provision Schools

Certain schools in the division will be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as implemented through the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Schools participating in CEP this year are:
Burlington Elementary, Glen Cove Elementary, Herman L. Horn Elementary, Masons Cove Elementary, Mount Pleasant Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, Northside High, Northside Middle, W.E. Cundiff Elementary, and William Byrd Middle School.

All students attending a CEP school will be provided a nutritious breakfast and lunch meal each day at no cost. Households with students attending these schools will not be required to submit a meal application or to pay a fee for these students to receive meals.

2024-2025 Free and Reduced Meal Applications

Household applications for the free and reduced meal program are now being accepted online.  Households must reapply each year.

Visit LINQ Connect to complete an online household application.

Paper applications are available in the front office of your child's school.

Only one meal application per household is required.  Eligibility is determined by household size and income.

An eligibility determination letter will be mailed to you after your application is reviewed.

Online Payment Information

Families may deposit funds to student meal accounts with a credit or debit card online at LINQ Connect.  This is a secure, third-party vendor. Online payments have a processing fee of 3.95% of the transaction amount with a minimum fee of $2.85 per transaction. Payments may be made at no charge in all school cafeterias by cash or check.

There is no charge to maintain your LINQ Connect account, which allows families to view student meal transactions and set spending limits or restrictions.
