Mrs. Duff comes to Glenvar Middle School as principal after having served as an educator and administrator in the Roanoke Valley for many years. Most recently, Mrs. Duff served as assistant principal for Glenvar High School.

Ms. Wakeland began her teaching career in 1998, as an English teacher at Cave Spring High School.  She worked as a testing coordinator at William Byrd before she was named assistant principal at Northside Middle School, where she worked for seven years prior to coming to Highlander Heaven beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.
