Student Registration

  • Roanoke County Public Schools welcomes all new students to our school district!

    Parents wishing to register their children should come to the school their child will attend.

    Parents should bring the following information to registration: 

     * Note:  A driver’s license or vehicle registration will not be accepted as proof of residency.

    Schools must have the physical and immunization record on file prior to the first day of school or students will not be allowed to attend school.  Children currently enrolled in a Roanoke County Public Schools preschool program who are eligible for kindergarten must go through the registration process.  If the date of the current physical and immunization record on file exceeds 12 months of the first day of school, an updated physical and immunization record is required before the first day of school.

  • Student Registration FormsParents/guardians:  please complete the forms below and then print and sign.  Bring these forms with you when you register your child(ren) for school.  If you are registering more than one child, please complete a form for each child.

  • Kindergarten Registration

    Kindergarten Registration Kickoff Events:  Feb. 12 & 19 - 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

    Roanoke County Public Schools will accept registration for children who will attend kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. 

    Those children presently enrolled in private kindergarten who will attend first grade in public schools during the 2024-2025 school year also may register beginning Feb. 12.

    All children who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2024 are eligible for kindergarten.  Parents should register their children at the elementary school in their home area.  This is by appointment ONLY.  Parents may schedule an appointment to register their children on any regular school day after Feb. 19.  Please contact your child's school to schedule a time.
