ABOUT THE PROGRAM FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS FOR BUSINESSES CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Launch Your Career Through Student Registered Apprenticeships

Registered Apprenticeship (RA) is a proven workforce development model that combines paid, hands-on training with related classroom instruction. High school juniors and seniors gain real-world work experience, earn a paycheck, develop industry-recognized skills, and work toward a nationally recognized credential—all while completing high school. Employers benefit by developing a skilled talent pipeline and training future employees to meet their workforce needs.

Through the regional partnership, Roanoke County Public Schools, Roanoke City Public Schools, Botetourt County Public Schools, and Salem City Schools collaborate with local employers and Virginia Works to provide Registered Apprenticeship opportunities that prepare students for successful careers in high-demand industries.
